License Types

Every Type of Cannabis License

If it's a California cannabis license, we're interested. Here's what we typically acquire.

Retail Dispensaries

Storefront operations with walk-in customer traffic. High-performing locations or struggling shops — we're interested in both. Revenue level doesn't disqualify you.

Microbusiness Licenses

Vertically integrated operations covering cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and retail. Complex structures don't scare us — they're often opportunities.

Paper Licenses

Approved but never activated. Stuck in development limbo. Ran out of capital before opening. We buy paper licenses and can take them off your hands for cash.

Non-Operational Locations

Closed, paused, or never opened. If the license is still valid (or could be reactivated), we want to hear about it. Don't let it expire worthless.

Distressed & Troubled

CDTFA problems, compliance issues, eviction pressure, partnership disputes. These situations are exactly what we specialize in.

Situations

The "Ugly" We Buy

If you're reading this, your situation probably isn't simple. That's fine — we've seen it all.

CDTFA Debt — No Problem

California cannabis tax liability is common and often substantial. We can structure acquisitions that account for outstanding CDTFA balances, whether you're on a payment plan or facing collections.

Vendor Debt — No Problem

Suppliers pressing for payment? Distributors threatening legal action? We understand the cash flow realities of cannabis retail and can work with vendor payables as part of the deal.

Landlord Debt — No Problem

Rent arrears, lease disputes, eviction proceedings. We can negotiate with landlords and structure exits that protect your interests while getting you cash.

Cash for Keys

Need to exit fast? We facilitate cash-for-keys arrangements that get you paid while satisfying landlord requirements for clean possession.

Compliance Issues

Behind on reporting? Facing regulatory scrutiny? License renewal in question? These issues affect valuation but don't necessarily kill a deal.

Partnership Disputes

Disagreements with co-owners can paralyze a business. We can work with complex ownership structures and help facilitate clean exits.

What We Typically Can't Help With

We try to be upfront. Here are situations where we're usually not the right fit.

Expired or Revoked Licenses

If the license has already been revoked by the state or has expired without possibility of renewal, there's typically nothing to acquire. If you're unsure about your license status, contact us anyway — sometimes there are paths forward.

Pending Applications (Usually)

Applications that haven't been approved yet are speculative. We occasionally work with late-stage applications where approval is highly likely, but generally prefer issued licenses.

Licenses Outside California

Our current focus is California cannabis licenses. If you have a license in another state, we may be able to refer you to contacts in that market, but we can't make direct offers.
